Hasan Ali came raging back to form with an electric display of bowling the fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Finishing the tournament head and shoulders above the rest, leading the bowling charts, Hasan’s express pace and nippy swing outwitted many batsmen during the course of the league.
Asked to pick his most memorable wicket in PSL 4 during an exclusive chat with Zainab Abbas on Cricingif, Hasan selected the prized scalp of Lahore Qalandars captain AB de Villiers. The Peshawar Zalmi pacer also recounted the background and the buildup which led to AB’s crucial wicket.
He claimed that Lahore had that stage were struggling to put runs on the board, however AB’s entry to the crease was followed by a countercharge from him. Hasan also shared that it was his dream to dismiss the Proteas batting maestro.
He said that he first bowled him a hurrying bouncer, which was edged towards the third man to the fence. The very next delivery, Hasan held his line and was in fact surprised that the ball seamed in to knock off the batsman’s middle stump.
