Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) chief Shammi Silva has denied all reports circulating in the media of touring Pakistan for a Test series later this year. Talking to a local publication in Sri Lanka, the SLC president relayed the message that no talks have taken place with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding this matter.
“We have not been contacted by any PCB official and no such discussion ever took place. If there are such reports claiming that negotiations are taking place or took place, they are baseless and untrue,” Silva spoke on the issue.
Sri Lanka are slated to play Pakistan in an away Test series later this year, which is expected to be scheduled at the neutral venue of UAE. The Sri Lankan Test unit last visited Pakistan in 2009, and were left scarred by the horrific terrorist attack in Lahore.
