The former Indian cricket team captain Sunil Gavaskar has put his trust in Kannaur Lokesh Rahul, formally known as KL Rahul to play at number 4 in World Cup 2019.
Rahul has been India's hold opener previously, behind Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan, he's in phenomenal touch in the 2019 Indian Premier League. With 335 runs at an average of 67, the right-hand batsman is the second most astounding run-scorer in the competition, only 14 runs behind David Warner.
The No.4 spot has been a very hostile one, and Rahul is one of the contenders competing for it. Since India don't play any longer ODIs before the World Cup, IPL structure could figure out who makes the final cut, in spite of captain Virat Kohli having shown despite what might be expected.
"Look, who bats at number four will be a matter of debate. And this is where IPL form will be considered because that’s current form," Gavaskar told India Today.
