After getting their first victory against the Kings XI Punjab, the Royal Challengers Bangalore suffered another loss at the hands of Mumbai Indians.
RCB batted first and they reached a respectable total of 171-7 in 20 overs. AB de Villiers was the top scorer with 75 and Moeen Ali (50) also plundered five sixes to reach his fifty. Virat Kohli once again failed with the bat and Malinga took 4 wickets for Mumbai.
In reply, the Mumbai Indians started well as the openers Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma played their strokes freely. de Kock went for 40 and Sharma for 28.
But at the end, it was Hardik Pandya (37) who took the game away single handedly from RCB. Ishan Kishan (21) and Surya Kumar Yadav (29) also formed a significant partnership for Mumbai in the middle. Mumbai won the match by 5 wickets.
