The Mumbai Indians (MI) are cruising along nicely in this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) after having a characteristic bad start to the tournament. The team currently stands at number 3 spot on the points table with 5 wins in 8 games.
However, the side has suffered a major blow as it has lost one of its key pacers right before reaching the business end of the tournament. West Indian pacer Alzarri Joseph has been ruled out of the remainder of season 12 after suffering from a shoulder injury.
During the April 13 fixture against the Rajasthan Royals (RR), the 22-year-old tried stopping the ball from reaching the boundary, but he dislocated his shoulder during the effort. Joseph was not in the initial squad of Mumbai as he came in as the replacement of injured Adam Milne.
