Kolkata Knight Riders, one of the most loved franchises of the Indian Premier League (IPL), started this year’s season with a bang as the purple team bagged victories in 4 of their first 5 matches. However, the last 3 games weren’t so good as KKR surrendered in crunch moments to lose 3 consecutive matches.
Nevertheless, KKR’s head coach and former South African cricketer Jacques Kallis believes that his team has enough gas in the tank to record a strong comeback in the running season of India’s biggest T20 festival.
Sharing his views on the recent displays, the 43-year old said that playing 5 games in 9 days took a lot out of his bunch and caused some injury concerns. The Cape Town born added that the break came at a great time for his team as it will allow the management to rejuvenate the team’s combination by also allowing the boys to refresh themselves. Kolkata would be up against Royal Challengers Bangalore in their next game on April 19 at Eden Gardens.
