The role of management in success of any team is pivotal. It was even more highlighted with the continuous failures of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Lahore Qalandars who have managed to remain glued at the bottom of the table for all the four seasons of the tournament.
One of the major trades of the tournament included the moving of explosive batsman Umar Akmal to Quetta Gladiators. The Lahore born cricketer rediscovered his batting mojo as he amassed 277 runs at 34.62.
Recently, Umar shared his experience of playing for Quetta where the 28-year old cricketer was found showering heaps of praise on the management of Gladiators. Dissecting the proper plan and mechanism of Quetta, he also pinpointed the failures of Lahore’s management.
“Quetta had a better and professional management team as compared to Lahore. Doing proper homework, they gave us a clear plan about the role of the local players. We were instructed to carry the good work of the foreigners,” said by the belligerent striker.
