India named their ICC World Cup 2019 squad on 15th April 2019. They made an interesting call by dropping Rishab Pant and giving Dinesh Karthik a go. With this move, India is left with only one left-handed batsman (Shikhar Dhawan) in the top 7.
With all other right-handers, India can be in a fix going into the ICC World Cup 2019. Left and right combinations are always crucial to the cause of a team especially in the middle part of the innings.
Ravindra Jadeja might not be the preferred option for India in the playing-XI with Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal being the two front-line spinners. Therefore, further lessening the number of left-handers in the side. This decision might backfire for India in the mega-event which will commence on 30th May 2019.
