In a blow to the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) plan of revamping the structure of domestic cricket, the Board of Governors (BoG) decided to reject the proposals laid out in the latest meeting, causing an adjournment of the session.
Reacting to the sensitive matter, former PCB Chairman Najam Sethi has advised the current PCB incumbent to deal with the issue in a cautious manner. Sethi voiced his apprehensions over shaking the foundations of the domestic structure immediately, and instead advocated a careful approach in gradually changing it.
“Ehsan Mani should respect the BoG as they are an elected body as per the constitution. If Mani doesn’t pacify, the issue might go to petition or a stay order in the coming days. He must know that a 70 years old domestic structure can’t be changed overnight,” he opined on the matter.
