Recent appointments and changes haven’t gone down well with the Board of Governors (BoG) of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) as it all resulted in the adjourning of the 53rd meeting of the BoG. The meeting which was scheduled to happen in Quetta has been postponed due to an incomplete quorum.
A major reason of the backlash revolved around the appointment of PCB’s Managing Director (MD) Wasim Khan. The members said that the PCB constitution doesn’t allow such posts and it was never approved from the BoG. Therefore, the governing body of cricket in Pakistan needs to declare the appointment null and void.
On the other hoard, PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani shared his disappointment on this happening as he believes that a constructive discussion is all what he was looking for. Sharing his views while talking to the media, the 74-year old added that the aim of everyone should be to ameliorate Pakistan Cricket and all the disagreements should be brought to the table so that they can be discussed in an interactive and productive manner.
