The Prime Minister of Pakistan and patron-in-chief of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Imran Khan is expected to meet the national squad on Friday before they leave for the ICC World Cup which is scheduled to be held in England and Wales.
According to sources, all the 23 players who are attending the training camp ahead of the World Cup in Lahore, will travel to Islamabad on Thursday. The 1992 World Cup-winning captain, is likely to share tips and aim to uplift the morale of the players who will participate in the world’s biggest cricketing event.
The Pakistan team is scheduled to depart for England on Tuesday, April 23. The Green Shirts will play its first World Cup match against West Indies at Trent Bridge on May 31 after playing warm-up matches against Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
