A lot of opinions are circulating on social media regarding Pakistan’s final squad picked for the ICC World Cup in England and Wales. As experts weigh in on the 15 players selected for the mega-event, explosive Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi also took to Twitter to express his thoughts on the matter.
While acknowledging the tough job of the selectors and their constraints in making it possible that meritocratic requirements are fulfilled, Afridi has voiced his disappointment over seeing Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Amir miss out in the WC squad.
Previously, Afridi had claimed that Wahab’s raw pace and toe-crushing yorkers would be extremely useful in the English conditions. Meanwhile, he also believed that Amir’s past record in England made him a probable pick for the World Cup.
