Cricketing stalwart Mohammad Hafeez has expressed immense joy on his selection in the Pakistan squad announced for the forthcoming ICC World Cup 2019. Taking to Twitter to pen his emotions, the all-rounder has stated that he feels honored represent Pakistan in cricket’s biggest tournament.
A long servant of Pakistan cricket, Hafeez unfortunately missed out on making it to the final squad for Pakistan in the previous World Cup after succumbing to an injury just on the cusp of the tournament. This time around as well, fears lingered over Hafeez’s inclusion into the squad as he is still recovering from the hand injury unfortunately procured during the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Hafeez is expected to be an important member for Pakistan, with batting position slotted in the top order, while his wily off-spin is highly rate among contemporaries. Looking upbeat for his last World Cup, the 38-year-old hoped to clinch glory.
