South African cricket management announced their ICC World Cup 2019 squad on 18th April 2019. The selection committee called up Anrich Nortje for his maiden World Cup campaign.
The 25-year old star made the debut against Sri Lanka in March recently. He has picked up 8 wickets in the 4 matches he has played so far at an average of 18.73. Nortje also has an average of 23.46 in the 33 List A games he played.
The young seam bowler will hold the fast bowling duties for South Africa along with Dale Steyn, Kagiso Rabada, and Lungi Ngidi. South African bowling ranks look solid enough to tackle any batting opposition they will face.
