All-rounder Jofra Archer has been left out of the English World Cup squad after the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) preferred players who have been performing at the highest level consistently over him.
The 24-year-old is still grateful for getting selected for the Pakistan series as he is aiming to make the most of the opportunity and not step on anyone else’s toes just to fulfil his dream of playing for England.
“I don't want to step on anyone's toes, the squad selected for the World Cup deserve it and my job is to do my very best against Pakistan. Of course, I want to play in the World Cup, but if it doesn't happen for me I'm not going to get upset,” he said.
The ECB had changed rules specially for Archer as many believed that he could become a superstar if he gets an opportunity to play.
