Former Pakistan women’s cricket team captain and number 1 ODI bowler in the world, Sana Mir has played a major role in elevating the standard of cricket among females in the country as she is now seen as the face of women’s cricket in Pakistan.
Sana’s brilliant performances at the highest level enabled her to achieve the number 1 ranking among ODI bowlers last year which had never been achieved before. According to statistics, the 33-year-old holds a unique record in cricket, both in men’s and women’s cricket.
Sana is the only cricket captain in the world who scored an unbeaten 48 and took 4 wickets in the same T20I game against Sri Lanka. Quite interestingly, 3 of those wickets came as a hat-trick which only one Pakistani woman cricketer had done before her i.e., Asmavia Iqbal.
