Zimbabwe produced a clinical show against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the hosts recorded a clean sweep in the four-match ODI series. Throughout the series, Zimbabwe looked to be a far better unit. While UAE did come close of winning the last game, Timycen Maruma’s batting heroics allowed Zimbabwe to continue their supremacy.
One of the major talking points of the series was the bravery of the Zimbabwean all-rounder Sikandar Raza who played all the four games with a fractured hand. While he wasn’t able to do well with the willow, his supporting role for the bowling department proved pivotal in helping Zimbabwe decimate UAE.
Kyle Jarvis, the skillful pacer of Zimbabwe, was extremely impressed with the commitment of the Karachi Kings cricketer. Paying a tribute to the Lahore born player on his Twitter handle, the 30-year old showered heaps of praise on Sikandar. Furthermore, the Harare born added that no one should question the passion Sikandar carries for Zimbabwe.
