While pace department has been a source of disappointment in past for India, the management worked extremely hard to hone the skills of the Indian pace battery. Comprising of the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and complemented by Hardik Pandya and Vijay Shankar, Indian pace department looks sturdy ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
Former Australian cricketer and one of the fastest pacers ever to appear on the International arena Brett Lee believes that carrying a strong pace unit has enhanced India’s chances of claiming glory in the upcoming mega-event which is set to be played in England and Wales.
While sharing his views ahead of the tournament, the 42-year old gave a special mention to the death overs specialist Bumrah by calling him a class act. Pinpointing the significance of bowling in winning the tournaments, the New South Wales born cricketer added that India has got this angle covered. Moreover, he praised the talents like Prasidh Krishna and Navdeep Saini and urged the Indian curators to prepare few bowling tracks which would nurture the bowling talent of the country.
