Pakistan will be depending a lot on their young middle-order batsman Babar Azam to shine in his first ICC World Cup. He is also looking forward to the big occasion and is upbeat ahead of the ICC World Cup 2019.
In a recent interview, Babar said that representing Pakistan in the World Cup is his dream come true. “I’m really excited as this will be my first-ever World Cup and it’s like a dream come true. I’m putting in the hard yards in practice sessions, in order to be well-prepared for the event,” Babar said.
He further stated that Pakistan playing a series against England before the World Cup will play a crucial role in the team’s preparation as it will help the team to fully analyze the conditions. The 24-year-old said that the England series would provide him with an opportunity to fine-tune his batting skills before cricket’s biggest tournament.
