The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are experiencing a resurgence of sorts lately with two wins under their belt after a long string of losses in this edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). They have been largely helped by the return to form of their captain Virat Kohli and some monstrous hitting from English all-rounder Moeen Ali.
Moeen had a field day out in the middle in the encounter against Kolkata Knight Riders, as he unleashed his stunning firepower. Demolishing bowlers left, right and center, the left-hander oozed great class in his strokes, providing RCB the impetus to carry on their run-making spree.
The peak of Moeen’s aggressive 28-ball 66 came during Kuldeep Yadav’s final over, whereby Moeen completely shattered the left-arm chinaman’s spirits. Blasting away to glory, Moeen smashed 27 runs off Kuldeep’s over, which literally left the young bowler in tears. Such was the impact of Moeen’s brutal onslaught that Kuldeep was left crouching on his knees, with his head in his hands.
