Sarfaraz to bat at No.5 in World Cup

Pakistan captain, Sarfaraz Ahmed has indicated that in a bid to utilize his maximum capabilities, he would promote himself up in the batting order in the upcoming edition of the World Cup which is starting from 30th May in England and Wales.

While talking to the media, Sarfaraz Ahmed said that he would bat at No.5 position during the World Cup as he will look to score valuable runs for his team. In the 10 ODIs where he has come in at No.5, Ahmed has scored 427 runs. The skipper believes that his decision to batting at this spot is a wise one and would benefit the team.

The Pakistan team is scheduled to depart for England on Tuesday, April 23. The Green Shirts will play its first World Cup match against West Indies at Trent Bridge on May 31 after playing warm-up matches against Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
