Pakistan’s World Cup squad recently met the Prime Minister and 1992 World Cup winning captain Imran Khan, to seek inspiration and motivation ahead of the cricket’s biggest carnival scheduled to be starting from 30th May in England and Wales.
The cricketer-turned-politician shared his valuable insights into the game and reminded the players of their responsibilities during the World Cup. Following the meeting, Pakistan’s senior all-rounder, Mohammad Hafeez took to Twitter to share his invaluable experience of meeting with his idol Imran Khan.
Hafeez said that the legendary all-rounder has always been his role model and an inspiration and added that the team will try to follow the guidelines that he has given to bring the trophy back home. The 38-year-old is only just returned from a thumb injury and his final inclusion is subject to fitness however he is expected to be fully fit in due time.
