Abid Ali, the top-order batsman of Pakistan, remains as one of the most prolific run-getters of the domestic circuit. Applauding his consistency, selectors installed him in the national side and the proficient batsman didn’t disappoint as Abid smashed a delightful century on his ODI debut.

Pondering on the upcoming 50-over tournament, the 31-year old added that he is aiming to produce strong displays and help the country win the competition. Moreover, Abid revealed that Sachin Tendulkar, Inzamam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Yousuf are his favorite batters.
“I am extremely pleased to be picked for the World Cup. This is a result of my hard work. Seeing Sachin Tendulkar, Inzamam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Yousuf helped me a lot. I’ll try to produce my best in the mega-event,” said by the wicket-keeper batsman.
