Bangladesh Under 19s won by 9 wickets (DLS Method)
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not included premium fast bowler Mohammad Amir in the World Cup squad but he has been given a final opportunity to make it to the squad via performances in the England ODI series.
Amir’s mediocre bowling performances throughout the previous year have resulted in his omission from the squad as he had only taken 3 wickets in 2018 at an average above 100. The pacer has also lost the swing that he used to generate in the past which has resulted into lesser wickets as well.
Keeping Amir’s record in major tournaments in mind, fans have given mixed reactions to his axing as some believe that he does not deserve to be in the squad while other want to see him play in England as he has been quite good on those tracks in the past.
Amir has expressed a desire to play the World Cup for Pakistan in his past interviews, but it remains to be seen whether he could prove himself to be good enough for the team or not.
