Shoaib Malik upbeat about Pakistan’s World Cup chances

Ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament, Pakistan, like all the other teams, is going through various practice sessions. Moreover, the green shirts are set to play a total of 11 games before the tournament which puts them in a good position to comprehend the English conditions.

Veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik is one of those cricketers for which the upcoming mega-event is considered as a swansong 50-over tournament. The sharp-witted cricketer recently reflected on the 10-team tournament as he believes that no team is a clear favorite as a bad day can reduce all the good work to nothing.

The Sialkot born is of the view that rainy weather could also disturb the plans of many teams and Pakistan has enough ability to surprise everyone. Moreover, the 37-year old vowed to give his best in World Cup tournament.

“All the teams at the World Cup are strong and there will be no fluke and no team is favorite. Everyone has to struggle, and under English conditions, rainy weather may create problems for any team on a given day,” said by the Multan Sultans skipper.
