Shoaib Akhtar, the former pacer of Pakistan, sits as one of the most celebrated cricketers of the history of the game. Known as the ‘Rawalpindi Express’, the fastest bowler ever to appear on the International arena helped Pakistan register many miraculous victories.
Recently, the Lahore Qalandars mentor shared his views about the top quality batsman of his era where he was found showering heaps of praise on Australia’s Justin Langer and India’s Rahul Dravid. The cricketer turned expert believes that the strong technique of these two batsmen always troubled him. From Pakistan, he picked former captain and current chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq. Moreover, the 43-year old revealed that he failed to dismiss the legendary batsman even in the nets.
Shedding light on the hardest batters he faced, Shoaib Akhtar added, “Justin Langer and Rahul Dravid were always challenging batsmen as both of them were technically very strong. Coming to Pakistan, it was definitely Inzamam-ul-Haq as I wasn’t even able to get him out in the nets.”
