Chief selector Inzamam ul Haq wishes luck to team Pakistan as they are leaving for England to play a series first and later take part in ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019.
Team Pakistan includes: Fakhar Zaman, Imam-ul-Haq, Abid Ali, Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Hafeez, Sarfraz Ahmed (captain), Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, Hasan Ali, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Junaid Khan, Haris Sohail, Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Hasnain.
Inzamam is confident about the team potential to win the World Cup. He said, “Entire nation stands behind you with their love, prayers and support and you have what it takes to win World Cup 2019”.
Sarfraz will lead team Pakistan in the World Cup and Shoaib Malik will be his deputy. The wicketkeeper was named Pakistan's captain in T20I cricket in 2016, preceding taking up the mantle over all formats in 2017. That same year, he drove Pakistan to glory in the ICC Champions Trophy.
