Pakistan cricket team is leaving for England on April 23 for a 83-day long hectic tour amid which it will play one T20 practice match, a Twenty20 International, four 50-over warm-up matches and five ODIs before taking part in the 46-day ICC World Cup from May 30. Pakistan will take West Indies in their World Cup opener on May 31 at Trent Bridge.
Big names like Sarfraz Ahmad, Shoaib Malik and Muhammad Hafeez are part of the squad. Though Muhammad Amir is part of the squad leaving for England but he will not be playing World Cup. Instead, he is part of the squad for 5 ODI and a T20 series against England.
As all know, Shadab Khan who has also been named in the World Cup squad is suffering from an infection. Due to his illness, he will later join the squad when recovered. Yasir Shah has been substituted against him for series before World Cup against England.
Wishing luck to team Pakistan with prayers and hopes that they will repeat the history of 1992 again and make Pakistan proud.
