The rapidly changing cricket culture around the world is solely based on the increase in the pace of the game which has been happening for the past couple of years. The changing pace has lead to bigger totals in not only limited overs cricket but in first-class cricket too.
Scottish cricketer George Munsey has created history by scoring the fastest century in cricket history during a recent fixture between Gloucestershire 2nd XI and Bath CC as he scored a century on just 25 deliveries.
Munsey ended up with a score 147 off just 39 balls as he hit 5 fours and 20 maximums during his stay at the wicket. The 26-year-old also hit 6 sixes off over during his record-breaking innings.
However, the record for the fastest T20 century still belongs to Chris Gayle who smashed a 30-ball hundred in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) as Munsey scored the hundred in an unofficial game.
