Ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 event, Bangladesh is surrounded by injury concerns. While the injuries of Rubel Hossain, Mohammad Saifuddin and Mustafizur Rahman hampered the preparations of Bangladesh for the forthcoming mega-event but the bowling coach Courtney Walsh is positive about all of them gaining full fitness soon.
However, the former West Indian cricketer was found extra careful about the wily paceman Mustafizur Rahman as Walsh doesn’t want to rush him up in the tri-nation series against Ireland and West Indies which is set to commence from May 5.
Sharing his views, the 56-year old added that he believes Mustafizur has a big role to play in the World Cup campaign of Bangladesh. Nevertheless, he stressed on the point of not relying on a single player as he urged other bowlers to hone their skills to a degree which’ll allow them to complement him in the upcoming mega-event. Bangladesh’s journey in the 10-team tournament would begin on June 2 against South Africa.
