Mumbai Indians have signed up left-arm pacer Beuran Hendricks as a replacement for the injured Alzarri Joseph for the rest of the Indian Premier League 2019. The West Indian got injured during the fixture against Rajasthan Royals last week, which ruled him out of the tournament.
Hendricks, who has represented South Africa in two One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and 10 T20Is, has previously represented Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He will join fellow Proteas fast bowler Dale Steyn who was also called up as a replacement by the struggling Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Losing Alzarri Joseph is a big loss for the Mumbai Indians as the Caribbean announced himself in the IPL with a bang, bowling Mumbai to victory with a record-breaking spell of 6-12 against Sunrisers Hyderabad on debut.
