The Pakistan cricket team has reached England for the upcoming series against the hosts before the main event, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. The green shirts would play the hosts in 5 ODI games and 1 T20I before taking part in the mega event.
During the first training session of the team, English spinner Monty Panesar bowled at the Pakistani batsmen in the nets as he himself is aspiring to make a comeback to competitive cricket.
Skipper Sarfraz Ahmed wished the spinner luck for his cricket academy in a video they recorded after the session. In response, Panesar also conveyed his best wishes for the Pakistan team for the World Cup.
On Monty’s inquiry, Sarfraz did say that he might wear the cornered tiger shirt if his side makes it to the final stage of the lengthy tournament this year i.e., the same shirt which Imran Khan wore during the toss of 1992 World Cup final before winning the trophy in Melbourne.
