Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed has emphasized that his team is fully equipped with quality batters to post 300-350 runs totals regularly in the forthcoming World Cup in England and Wales.
Replying to critics who often take a jab at Pakistan’s relatively low scoring rate in modern day cricket, Sarfaraz reiterated that the side possesses the necessary firepower to showcase aggressive cricket.
“The team is fully capable of scoring 300-350 runs while setting up a target or chasing. We have some very good players in the middle and lower order,” Sarfaraz spoke on the matter.
He particularly singled out Imad Wasim for his lower-order hitting skills, as being the key to mounting to high totals. He also revealed that the team had been working hard on improving their power striking skills in the nets.
With flat decks expected to be the norm in England and Wales next month, it will be crucial for Pakistan’s success for the batsman to establish attacking credentials.
