Afghanistan might only be featuring in only their second edition of the 50-over World Cup but the blue team has the arsenal to challenge the top sides of the cricketing world in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 event. Making progress by leaps and bounds, the team encompasses some exceptional cricketers who are established and well-respected International figures.
English wicket-keeper batsman Jonny Bairstow was recently found reflecting on Afghanistan’s chances in the forthcoming mega-event.
Playing alongside two key players of Afghanistan, Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi, in the running edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the 29-year old batsman was greatly impressed with their abilities.
The aggressive player believes that Afghanistan possesses a potent spin attack which has enough gas to pose a threat to all the sides.
The Yorkshire born added that if Afghanistan manages to keep the opposition to a low score then their batting is good enough to gun down the total. Bairstow himself sits extremely excited ahead of the action-packed summer as he aims to continue his superlative batting run.
