Ghulam Ali sees Pakistan underprepared for World Cup

Carrying happy memories of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 tournament, Pakistani team is optimistic to do well in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 event which is all set to commence from May 30 in England and Wales. Fans are backing the green team to bring their best game forward and make the nation crowd.

Cricket pundits have rightly identified few loopholes including the power-hitting department in the 15-man squad but former Pakistan cricketer Ghulam Ali sits extremely disappointed as he blasted on the selectors because he believes that the green shirts aren’t coming up with the preparations needed to steal the thunder of the forthcoming mega-event.

Sharing his views on the World Cup squad of Pakistan, the 52-year old said that the selectors weren’t able to cover all the bases and the team is relying on a fluke to win the tournament.

Explaining his argument, the Karachi born went on to cite the example of a student who relies only on guess papers to pass an exam. Ghulam Ali added that Pakistan might end up winning the competition but their preparations aren’t ideal and for this reason, they cannot be counted among the favorites.
