ECB to devise special security plan for the Pakistani team

In light of the horrific Christchurch mosques attacks that left at least 50 dead, the English Cricket Board (ECB) has prepared a fresh security plan for the visiting Pakistan team on request of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

According to the outline of this plan, the tour managing committee is required to inform the ECB security whenever the players are going to offer prayers in the mosque, particularly the mass Friday prayers.

This is done in the aftermath of the Christchurch attack where the Bangladesh cricket team narrowly escaped the shooting spree.

Sources claim that the PCB MD Wasim Khan and Director International Cricket, Zakir Khan had written to the ECB and made a request to devise a new security plan, that ensures the wellbeing of the Pakistani players.
