Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has made an impressive comeback to the national side in the past 12 months after being sidelined for many important tours due to his inconsistent batting form.
In a recent interview, Maxwell talked about the return of former captain and vice-captain, Steve Smith and David Warner, as he feels that the duo would be welcomed back into the dressing room with open arms.
“They certainly are. If you look at the way they are playing over in India at the moment they'll welcome them back with open arms. Not just their batting but their leadership skills … their cricket knowledge is going to be really helpful for Finchy,” he said.
He also feels that both the players would add strength in the Australian top-order which would be very good for the team since Aaron Finch and Usman Khawaja are already in great form.
