Indian opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan is enjoying great form in the Indian Premier League (IPL) which is a great sign for the national side that would rely heavily on his batting in the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
The left-hander feels very fortunate to have the opportunity of playing under the mentorship of Sourav Ganguly and Ricky Ponting who are among the legends of the game.
“I am already learning so many things from them and it is helping me. I am grateful for that. I am sure those things are helping me in the IPL and I am going to take it to the World Cup,” he said.
Furthermore, he also applauded young Prithvi Shaw for showing great composure at a young age as he feels that the 19-year-old would do wonders for Indian cricket in the future.
