Indian opening batsman KL Rahul has been in sublime form of late as he has been scoring heavily for the Kings XI Punjab in the season 12 of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The right-hander has scored 441 runs this season in 11 games at an impressive average of 55.
Rahul recently scored a 27-ball 42 in a losing cause against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). However, during that innings, he became the fastest batsman to score 3000 T20 runs among his Indian counterparts.
Rahul reached the milestone in his 93rd innings which is way less than the number of innings taken by previous Indian batsmen. Gautham Gambhir now lies on the 2nd spot in the list as he reached the milestone in 107 innings while Suresh Raina crossed the 3000 runs mark in the same number of innings as him.
