The troubles for Royal Challengers Bangalore doesn’t seem to end as they suffered yet another injury blow as fast bowler, Dale Steyn has been ruled out of the rest of the season due to shoulder inflammation. The star pacer had joined the team a few games ago and was instrumental in RCB's wins in the two matches he played.
The 35-year-old pacer is part of South Africa’s preliminary 15-man squad for the tournament in England and Wales. According to the Cricket South Africa statement, he will be assessed by a shoulder specialist and measures will be put in place to get him ready for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.
All the teams have till 23 May to make changes to their squad for the global marquee tournament. South Africa’s preparations for the tournament include a week-long training camp beginning on 12 May. Proteas will kick off their World Cup campaign against hosts England in the tournament opener on 30th May at the Oval.
