The Pakistan Under-19 tour of Sri Lanka has been called off, which was due to start from May 3. The decision has been taken in view of the security situation that has emerged after deadly bombings in Sri Lanka during Easter celebrations that killed over 250 people.
PCB Director – International, Zakir Khan, said: “We have received confirmation from Sri Lanka Cricket, who have expressed their inability to host the Pakistan U19 cricket team as per the original schedule due to earlier this week’s tragic events.”
The Pakistan U19 side was scheduled to travel to Colombo for two four-day and three one-day matches on Tuesday, 30 April. Pakistan's U-19 team are scheduled to tour South Africa for seven 50-over matches from June 19-July 7 as part of their preparations for ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup 2020.
