The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is putting a lot of emphasis on spreading the game among both genders throughout the country. The recently concluded women’s tournaments have been very well received by the aspiring local talent.
The first ever all-women PCB selection committee recently picked a fresh squad for the upcoming tour of South Africa which would be lead by Bismah Maroof. While addressing the media after the training camp in Karachi, Bismah expressed full confidence in young players who have been added alongside some senior players.
“Both South Africa and Pakistan are going to fight hard for the ICC Women’s Championship points. They currently have a one-point advantage over us, which we can overcome by winning the series. Both teams are evenly matched, and the points table situation will make the series even more exciting,” said Bismah.
