The Delhi Capitals (DC) has qualified for the playoffs of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) after a gap of 6 years as they had been performing miserably in the past couple of seasons.
Opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan has hailed the management staff of Delhi, including Ricky Ponting and Sourav Ganguly, for the change of fortunes of the franchise as he feels that the veterans know how to boost the confidence of players.
“The coaches play an important role and in Ponting and Dada we have two former skippers who led their teams successfully and know how to go about the job of planning and strategizing. They know how to prepare players and give them confidence,” he said.
Moreover, he also said that the young players have made a significant impact in this year’s tournament as they have performed at crucial moments for the side.
