Recording a splendid outing both in the last edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and Pakistan Cup, fans were anticipating a national team comeback for the experienced cricketer Wahab Riaz. However, the paceman failed to make it to the 17-man squad from which a final bunch of 15 will be selected.
Reflecting on the omission, the 33-year old shared his disappointment as he was expecting to get a ticket to England. Nevertheless, Wahab is optimistic about his chances to represent Pakistan again in the International cricket. Moreover, he extended his good wishes to the green team as the Lahore born cricketer is backing the bunch to win the mega-event.
“Everyone strives hard to represent Pakistan so not making it to the World Cup squad definitely saddened me. However, I want Pakistan to do well in the tournament. There are always good and bad times, therefore, I am positive about coming back strongly and donning the green again,” said by the Peshawar Zalmi player.
