Australian ODI captain, Aaron Finch is in doubt of making a comeback in the Test side of Australia courtesy his poor run in the format over the last couple of years. Aaron Finch had a nightmare outing in the Test arena in 2018. His performances against India and Pakistan were below par in the Test matches.
Aaron Finch gained form just at the right time in the ODI format which endorsed his case for the leadership of the Australian cricket team in the ICC World Cup 2019.
Aaron Finch talked about the dilemma he went through. "My chances to play Test cricket again have probably slipped away", Finch added.
"I was feeling huge anxiety based on a World Cup coming up, being captain of the side and not having the output I wanted". But it was a remarkable turn-around for Finch in the ODIs starting from the series against India and perpetuating his form in the U.A.E tour.
Australia will play the Ashes in July soon after the World Cup. Being the captain of the World Cup side of Australia, Finch still does not give himself a lot of chances for his selection in the Test series against England (Ashes).
