While Virat Kohli sits currently as the best player in the cricketing world, the same is not said about his leadership qualities. Even in the running edition of the Indian Premier League, the sagacious cricketer was criticized for not captaining his franchise well.
Nevertheless, former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly came to Virat’s rescue by rating his captaincy very highly. The 46-year old who led the Indian team to the 2003 World Cup final believes that Virat is a better captain than himself.
Highlighting Virat’s numbers as India’s skipper, he urged the fans to stop judging the attacking cricketer’s captaincy by a T20 tournament. Moreover, Ganguly believes that India has a great chance of winning the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 tournament.
“His record for India is phenomenal. Don’t judge him by his T20 captaincy; his captaincy for India has been terrific. Virat Kohli is better than Dada,” shared by the Bengal born cricketer.
