Shahid Afridi is perhaps still the most loved and followed cricketer in the country. Even after his retirement, Afridi has been receiving heaps of praise from his fans all across the country. In the latest news, Afridi has released his biography 'Game Changer' which has many chapters worth reading.
Wajahat Saeed Khan, who is the writer of the book wrote about an incident in Peshawar narrated by the former captain Wasim Akram where Pakistan was playing against Zimbabwe and the stadium was completely packed.
There were people outside the stadium as well and they only wanted Afridi to come out there and entertain them. Much to their disappointment, Afridi couldn't survive much on the pitch as he got out on the very first ball.
The 'Sultan of Swing' also added that the crowd went wild after Afridi's dismissal and they wanted him back. Even some of the fans in the crowd also said that he should be given another go as the first ball is always a try ball. Such was the level of his fan following even way back in the 90s.
