New Zealand Cricket Board decided to announce the list of players included in the central contracts category for 2019-2020 season. Consistent displays in domestic as well as International cricket allowed James Neesham, Will Young and Tom Blundell to bag the contracts.
Notable absentees included the names of Corey Anderson, Adam Milne and George Worker who failed to impress the think tank.
The governing body of New Zealand Cricket believes that all the performers have been rewarded with a central contract as they expect them to go well and make the country proud. Chief selector Gavin Larsen has backed the inclusion of Neesham, Young and Somerville as he added that doors would remain open to all the strong performers.
