Sarfaraz Ahmed, the captain of Pakistan, has a huge responsibility installed on his shoulders as he aims to win the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 event. After making his mark in the last edition of the Champions Trophy, the wicket-keeper batsman is adamant to grace the trophy cabinet of Pakistan with another silverware.
Apart from that, the Karachi born is finding himself close to an ODI record as he is only 58 runs away to complete his 2000 runs in ODI cricket.
If he gets there, the sharp-witted player would become only the third genuine wicket-keeper batsman of Pakistan to do so. Other two cricketers to achieve this feat are Moin Khan and Kamran Akmal.
In the history of Pakistan Cricket, only 25 players have been able to get past 2000 ODI runs. The Quetta Gladiators player isn’t going to get a better opportunity to do so as he revealed that he would look to bat at 5 against England and then in the forthcoming mega-event which is scheduled to begin from May 30 in England and Wales.
