Kamran Akmal raises voice for domestic performers

In Pakistan Cricket, complaints are usually recorded regarding the selection committee ignoring the top performers of the domestic circuit. Wicket-keeper batsman Kamran Akmal has also joined this club as he believes that the think tank of Pakistan needs to pay more respect to the domestic cricket of the country.

In his recent interview on a TV channel, the Peshawar Zalmi player was found raising voice for Fawad Alam, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Irfan and Khurram Manzoor. The 37-year old believes that all the aforementioned cricketers have done enough to get back into the national team but they still sit out of the setup.

Moreover, the inclusion of Mohammad Hasnain in the squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 event has surprised Kamran Akmal as he feels that other pacers have been hard done by this decision.

Explaining his argument, the Lahore born added that it is unwise to invest in few players for years and then take a completely different cricketer to such an important event which demands a lot of experience and skills.
